- on All Souls’ Day -
After yourself what’s left?
What will happen to you when you die?
It’s one question, but do you lie,
ever asked yourself?
Were you dare enough to ask, and if yes,
what was your answer?
Is there any comforting,
real answer which defines?
And if there’s not, then your life
the single one – you live without a goal?
Who can give answers? You, yourself,
or proctor-doctor, with whom
you are streamed in your face?
„From there no one came back”-
the referee says, with which until death
you can mislead yourself,
if Jesus was risen, then he can give
the true answer.
(Which is not true because you believe it,
but because He himself says it,
personally to you.)
Or you can believe it, what is
advertised on many graves:
instead of the hopeful colon,
there is the cruel full stop.
Is there any left,
what you put down on the table?
Just dust and ashes.
Finally you will be able?
After yourself what’s left?
What will happen to you when you die?
It’s one question, but do you lie,
ever asked yourself?
Were you dare enough to ask, and if yes,
what was your answer?
Is there any comforting,
